"... is the final step."
~ The Gamers II: Hand of Fate

ok, just a heads up I'm SOOO glad the forest entering was addressed in this prompt.
I like breaking rules and I have probably broken this one on every possible part.
I'm fairly certain that the scripting/directing of when/how she enters is still not 100% correct despite more than one note exchange with Turle on the topic xD

where to even begin...?

despite ending up in Sybal-Heim, Sisika did not invoke the Forest herself.  it was, however, invoked for her.  it was a response to Nocodéme's desperate pleas.  she did see the forest and decided to enter in the vain hope that once hidden there, she may be able to save Nicodéme.
(she was lying to herself though, deep down she knew that even with immediate help she could pnly postpone the inevitable.)

riiiight... but the what heppened to him?  it is the reason Sisika is in such horrible terms with the Organizer after all.  was there really a mistake?
short answer: no.
long answer: who knows, maybe.  Nicodéme was mortally wounded trying to defend the girl he loved.  he was fully aware of this fact and accepted his fate.  he might have been a religious man but common sense is common sense: he had seen enough people die to know, that much blood loss he was not going to walk away from.  but if Sisika dies or gets caught (which was probably worse) then the whole thing was for nothing.  thus Nicodéme wished for just this one thing - for her to survive.
okay, but what about the other side. well, Sisika was way too preoccupied with the shock and trying to cope with mortality (and failing) than to even think of anything, let alone wish for it.

but to put it simply, the main difference between the two character's motives and feelings is that while Nicodéme could not imagine a life without Sisika, the opposite was not true.  mind you, she did not want to live without the Frenchman either if posible, but she could see a life -albeit a very sad one, as it is now- without him.

also, Nicodéme did not wish for himself to be saved -he did not think it was even possible.
his entity and the bond they shared was taken into consideration, however, allowing him to live on as a very vivid memory.
this is most probably the reason why his musket made it into Sybal-Heim, despite never really belonging to Sisika.
